Really good people like me are scared of falling off. I’m totally scared of falling off. Just imagine it. Just imagine if I woke up one day and I was wack. What would I do then?

Come on now! How could you be me and want to be someone else?

When I’ve talked about the idea of being President, I’m not saying I have any political views, I don’t have views on politics, I just have a view on humanity. On people. On the truth.

[Trump] will do the things that are necessary to make that happen because he’s got an ego like all the rest of us, and he wants to be the greatest president, and he knows that he can’t be the greatest president without the acceptance of the black community. So it’s something he’s gonna work towards, but we’re gonna have to speak to him.

We are following other people’s opinions. We are controlled by the media. And today it all changes.

There’s nothing I really wanted to do in life that I wasn’t able to get good at. That’s my skill. I’m not really specifically talented at anything except for the ability to learn. That’s what I do. That’s what I’m here for.

He knows all about art, but he doesn’t know what he likes.

Can anybody be given creativity? No. Only equipment to develop it if it’s in them in the first place.

People with talent are not interested in showing off behind another person.

I think of art as the highest level of creativity. To me, it is one of the greatest sources of enjoyment.

One of the things about creativity is you can be in denial about these things. When I found out I had cancer, there were four hours in which I was pounding my head on the marble kitchen top saying, “I can’t believe it, I can’t believe it.” But then I felt as if this little army in uniform was flooding me. They had come to help me fight it. I felt really strong about it after that. It was one of the strongest periods of my life.

The arts are at the center of a nation’s purpose and a test of civilization.

Make the best of every moment. We’re not evolving. We’re not going anywhere.

If you hold onto the beauty and inspiration and the clarity that is music, you will have an anchor, you will not be too far swayed by what the world is.
