Junglepussy

I wish everybody would treat themselves like a plant.

Everyone wants to be black so bad I wake up feeling so exclusive!

There were the Pussycat Dolls, and there’s a band called Perfect Pussy, but they’re white, so they get the pass. I can’t be Junglepussy and black, but I just push through, especially when my mother says she doesn’t have a problem with it.

When Yale reached out, I thought it was a hoax, but they really followed through.

The ladies of comedy now are comfortable dressing up. It’s not forbidden anymore.

The celebrity thing… I don’t want to sound as if I absolutely don’t want it because that’s not true. If you’re in the entertainment business, you have to be honest. There’s something alluring about it…

I did (training in) tennis, ballet, swing dancing, piano, art class and etiquette. I also did French dialect, but then it was mixing me up with my Southern dialect, so we stuck to Southern!

We lived the life with Keith Moon. It was all Spinal Tap magnified a thousand times.

Abstaining from sex had to zen my body. I ain’t giving, so don’t ask, I don’t lend my body. He gotta be king status to get in my body.

You can’t fake listening. It shows.

Being noticed can be a burden. Jesus got himself crucified because he got himself noticed. So I disappear a lot.

A rivalry doesn’t happen in one or two races or in one year. It happens over a period of time to really get a rivalry going. We race together three or four races and get to beating on each other, that’s not a rivalry, that’s just a happening. You do that four or fives years, that’s a rivalry.

Everybody was recording Laura Nyro’s songs and all of a sudden she was a very successful song-writer. And beginning to become hot. She had three songs in the top ten at one time…
