I’ve talked to so many people, men and women alike, that get overweight and their self-esteem just goes in the tank. They think they’re judged. They think they’re unattractive.

Common sense needs to be more common.

Obesity has overtaken cancer as the No. 1 cause of avoidable, preventable death in American society. It’s an epidemic-level problem.

Take it from a guy: If you’re in love with somebody, you will swim the stream, you will climb the mountain, you will slay the dragon. You’re going to get to her somehow, some way.

Food is a coping mechanism; people are afraid of giving it up because then they’ll feel confused and lost.

You are so much more than what people have done to you, and to let that define you, would be a tragedy.

People have the right to think and say whatever they want to. But you have the right not to take it to heart, and not to react.

It is one thing to show a man that he is in error, and another to put him in possesion of the truth.

Indulgence doesn’t prepare, indulgence can cripple a child because the world won’t indulge her.

The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.

The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.

I don’t necessarily agree with everything I say.

It is better to deserve honours and not have them than to have them and not to deserve them.

Me: Unbothered, moisturized, in my lane, well-hydrated, flourishing.

The only normal people are the ones you don’t know very well.

Seriousness is the only refuge of the shallow.

Despite everybody who has been born and has died, the world has just gone on. I mean, look at Napoleon – but we went right on. Look at Harpo Marx –the world went around, it didn’t stop for a second. It’s sad but true. John Kennedy, right?

The most dangerous notion a young man can acquire is that there is no more room for originality. There is no large room for anything else.

When you get to the top, don’t forget to send the elevator down for the next guy.

Sometimes even to live is an act of courage.

You are a function of what the whole universe is doing in the same way that a wave is a function of what the whole ocean is doing.
