If you aim at nothing, you will hit every time.

Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes but don’t quit.

My philosophy in life is this: if we make up our mind what we are going to make of our lives, then work hard toward that goal, we never lose – somehow we win out.

I only work with the best.

Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stressed; working hard for something we love is called passion.

In the last analysis, what we are communicates far more eloquently than anything we say or do.

We are guided by outcomes, not ideology. We have a policy of principled realism, rooted in shared goals, interests, and values. That realism forces us to confront a question facing every leader and nation in this room. It is a question we cannot escape or avoid. We will slide down the path of complacency, numb to the challenges, threats, and even wars that we face. Or do we have enough strength and pride to confront those dangers today, so that our citizens can enjoy peace and prosperity tomorrow?

You just do it. You force yourself to get up. You force yourself to put one foot in front of the other, and God damn it, you refuse to let it get to you. You fight. You cry. You curse. Then you go about the business of living. That’s how I’ve done it. There’s no other way.

You’ve got to say, “I think that if I keep working at this and want it badly enough, I can have it.” It’s called perseverance.

Be happy with what you have while working for what you want.

If at first you don’t succeed, find out if the loser gets anything.

I am a visceral person by nature. I act on instinct, quickly, without pondering possible disaster and without indulging in deep introspection.

The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.

All young people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity, deserve a safe and supportive environment in which to achieve their full potential.

Concentrate your energies, your thoughts and your capital. The wise man puts all his eggs in one basket and watches the basket.
